FIAlab Instruments is a privately held company founded in 1987 (then named Alitea USA), serving initially as a distributor of Alitea AB's peristaltic pumps and accessories. It soon became apparent that there was a demand for complete flow injection systems. Therefore, in 1988 Alitea Instruments introduced two FIA systems; an educational non-compute... r based low cost instrument, and a computer based, high end instrument. Although limited by the state of technology of the late eighties, the early models of the company's instruments are still in use by some of the company's customers.
