NEMAC is an applied research center of UNC Asheville. As an applied research center, we implement science in real-world settings. As a center of UNC Asheville, we promote collaborations among the university's students, faculty, and staff and the community by fostering active partnerships with academic, public, private, and community organizations.... Established in November 2003, NEMAC specializes in science communication and the development of decision support tools for local, regional, and national decision makers, planners, and the public.
