Fed By Threads is committed to the global body-positivity movement dedicated to building healthy self-esteem in the women, girls, men, and boys who come to shop at our store. We do not accept people judging themselves in the dressing room or when they come out and look in the mirror. If they don't like a piece, that's one thing, but if they are hesitant because of what they fear other people will think of them, that is where we step in to offer our authentic view of beauty: diversity makes us beautiful, skin has pores, bodies have bones and rolls, some of us are short, some of us are tall, and we are magnificent as a collective of unique and irreplaceable beautiful humans. When a piece doesn't fit, it isn't because there is anything wrong with your body, it's because the piece wasn't cut right for you. Many women who come to Fed By Threads have experienced body dysmorphia and often are unable to see themselves as beautiful as they really are. Their minds may focus on perceived flaws and miss the gloriousness of their true self. At Fed By Threads, we are honest when we ourselves think a different size or style might look good on you, so this isn't one big cheerleader fake-sales tactic. And likewise, when we really like a cut on you, you will know it! But as soon as a woman starts to tear herself down in front of our eyes, we step in, and cut off the train of thought. Why? Because we need to be models of body positivity for the next generations. To this end, you will never see an airbrushed or digitally augmented photo of women on our website or in any marketing image, ad, or anything else anywhere else.
