Who is Fbipcaaa
Your generous donations help our organization provide valuable continuing education and community outreach programs. The FBIs Citizens Academy prog ram was launched in 1993 at the FBIs Phoenix Division by then-Special Agent in Charge (SAC) Jim Ahearn. Ahearn decided on the Citizens Academy model based on his experience with a local police agency with the hope of strengthening the field offices relationship with the community. Since inception, over 1,800 community, civic business, labor, media, minority, law enforcement, government, and religious leaders in Arizona have been educated about federal law enforcement issues and challenges. Nationally, over 10,000 citizens have participated in Citizens Academies offered at Field Offices across the United States and at the FBI Academy Quantico, VA. The goal of the Citizens Academy is to foster a greater understanding of the FBIs role in the community through open discussion and to support the FBIs efforts to deliver information about their role, tools, tactics, jurisdiction, and vision for the future in national law enforcement, homeland defense, and counter-terrorism on all levels. Graduates of the Citizens Academy (Phoenix, Tucson and Flagstaff) are invited to join our FBI Phoenix Citizens Academy Alumni Association (FBIPCAAA). The FBIPCAAA is a non profit organization separate and apart from the FBI. To our FBIPCAAA Alumni Members our monthly financial reports are handled by Sara Muller , a third party service in order to insure integrity and transparency in our organization. A copy of our monthly financial summary is available upon request to our members in good standing. Please send an email to: treasurer@fbipcaaa.org One of the highlights of being an FBIPCAAA member is our annual trip to Quantico & FBI HQ in Washington D.C. Our new Citizens Academy graduates get priority, however if you didn't get a chance to experience this trip with your graduating class, let us know if you'd like to be put on the waiting list.
