Prior to creating Fathom5 Zac spent 22-years in the United States Navy as a surface officer specializing in electronic warfare. Zac's final tour was Director of the Center for Cyber Warfare at the Naval Postgraduate School where he led inter-disciplinary research teams that explored cyber capability development and invented maritime artificial inte... lligence tools and methodologies for understanding shipboard electronic security. While at the Naval Postgraduate School, Zac also created HACKtheMACHINE, nicknamed the Blue Angels for Geeks, which seeks to inspire a new generation of technical talent to apply their skills to national security challenges. Zac holds a B.S. in engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy, a Masters in National Security Affairs from the Naval Postgraduate School, and is a distinguished graduate of the Naval War College. Prior to joining Fathom5, Dr. Burke spent 10 years working at various positions within the government. From acting as the Program Executive Officer for NAVAIR to becoming a chairman of the NATO UAS and then the Director of Cyber Warfare Detachment, Dr. Burke has mastered the focus and understanding of cybersecurity. In the summer of 2019, Dr. Burke left government service to join Fathom5 as their chief engineer where he directs the development of novel approaches to embedded system DEVOPS and cybersecurity. He holds three bachelors degrees in electrical engineering, computer engineering, and computer science from North Carolina State University, a masters degree in computer engineering, and a Ph.D. in aerospace engineering.Read More
