About Fare & Square
Philabundance, the Delaware Valley's largest hunger relief organization brought Fare & Square, the first nonprofit grocery store of its kind in the nation to the City of Chester. The USDA listed the west of the City of Chester as a food deserts until Philabundance opened Fare & Square on September 28, 2013. Fare & Square provides Chester residents convenient, reliable access to "good food right around the corner" with a focus on food staples like fresh produce, meats, dairy, seafood, and frozen foods. The store is open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Fare & Square helps stretch customers dollars by accepting SNAP and WIC benefits coupled with low pricing and a percentage off of future purchases for eligible customers.Explore more
