Melody grew up in North Central Montana, where she was raised on the family wheat farm. She attended the University of Montana until moving to the west coast and attending Clark College in Vancouver, WA. She has been involved in the tourism industry for 25+ years, and along with her husband BJ, owned a very successful full service country inn for 2... 0 of those years. Their inn received the award for Best Evening Cuisine. The culinary aspect of their Inn was most important to their success, so it is no surprise that Melody has been involved and associated with Erik Wolf, founder and CEO of the World Food Travel Association, (formerly known as the International Culinary Tourism Association,) since its inception. She has served on his Board of Directors, Corporate Vice President, Association Management Director, Community Manager and is now serving as a Consultant and Special Projects Manager to him and the WFTA. During the Lewis and Clark Commemoration, she served as the Director for the multi-days tours for the Lewis and Clark River Cruises, of which eventually led to a position as Director of the Gray Line sight-seeing program and a companys inbound/outbound tour department. Today, as President and CEO of Falcons Crest Inc, her main goal is to work with the factions of the Tourism Industry to develop, expand and promote their tourism and package travel programs. Once those suggested itineraries are in place, Falcons Crest will promote them through the Receptive Tour Operator side of the business. Falcons Crest Inc. is a member of the Oregon Tour and Travel Alliance, (currently serving as President), Washington (State) Tourism Alliance, the National Tour Association, Oregon Festival and Events Association and the World Food Travel Association.
