FairHaven Farm

FairHaven Farm specializes in garlic and a variety of other vegetables, Paso Fino horses, meat goats, pasture raised chickens, pastured pork and 100% grass fed beef. The farm is a work in progress. In the summer of 2010, our vegetables and farm made soaps were first offered at local farmers markets and continue to be. A small herd of Paso Fino Hors... es reside on the farm, as well as a small herd of meat goats. Grass fed goat meat was offered for sale for the first time in 2012 and sold out within a few weeks! It was VERY popular - which surprised and pleased us, as goat meat is such a delicious and healthy meat to eat. We continue to have grass fed goat meat for sale at regular intervals throughout the year. Pasture raised chickens were first offered for sale in late 2011, and continue to be a very popular item that we sell. It is usually available in a no-soy version, as well. Pigs are pastured as well as grain-fed for optimum health and growth. They are rotated through pastures and forage crops throughout the season. Pork was first offered for sale in late 2012 and continues to be very popular with our customers. It, too, is available in a no-soy version. Grass fed beef is raised on the beautiful pastures of FairHaven Farm. We do not supplement or finish with grain and, although they grow a little slower, our animals have no health issues and are never given antibiotics or growth hormones. As with all animals here at the farm, the cows are humanely raised and processed. In 2012 we began offering 100% grass fed beef to our customers. We have it available in limited quantities throughout the year.. Our sales are primarily at local farmers markets, however, we do sell some of our products right from the farm and directly to restaurants. The philosophy on the farm is that locally grown food using no pesticides or chemical fertilizers is best suited for human health. Animals living on the farm are treated humanely.
