The tradition of Ezells Catfish cabin started in the 1930s with a restaurant on the Tombigbee River in Alabama. The tradition continued with the founding of the Columbus, GA restaurant in 1982 and the Phenix City, AL restaurant in 2011. In the 35+ years since its opening, the Columbus restaurant has become a landmark with its reputation for quality... , fresh southern comfort food served in a casual atmosphere with exceptional service. The Phenix city restaurant maintains that tradition and to this day is the only family operated full service restaurant in Phenix City. The attention to detail and quality required by current owners Clark and Collier Ezell has resulted in numerous awards and recognition from noted rating agencies such as AAA, tripadvisor, and the Columbus Ledger-Enquirer as best in its class. In addition to being full service sit down restaurants, take out, catering and parties are an integral part of our operations. After 30 years, we are proud to announce that Ezells Catfish in Columbus & Phenix City, is back under Ezell family management. I would like to formally introduce myself as the new president & owner, Clark Ezell, alongside my supportive family; wife, Collier Ezell & sons, Clark & Ham. I am the grandson of Charles Ezell Jr, the founder of the famous Ezells Catfish in Lavaca, Alabama that opened over 80 years ago. My vision & direction along with experience brings a fresh new approach to food & beverage. Ezells is poised to quickly take the dining experience to another level at while maintaining the same quality, home cooking & southern hospitality that made Ezells Catfish a Columbus, GA staple. Born into the restaurant business, I have experienced every facet of the industry, from washing dishes, cooking, planning menus to hosting, serving & managing.
