About Dr. Laura Ahn Dr. Laura Ahn is a board certified optometrist who has been practicing optometry for 8 years. Dr. Ahn found that her passion is practicing family optometry in a retail setting. By blending together her love for family optometry and for fashionable eye wear, The Eye Shop was born. n 2003, she graduated from the New England College of Optometry in Boston. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from the University of Texas at Austin in 1999. Since then, she has worked in various optometric environments, from working at a multi-specialty clinic with emphasis in ocular disease (especially diabetes and hypertension) to offering free eye care to under-privileged communities in Mexico.
