There is a ton of amazing content in the form of digital artwork being created each day, which never gets out to the wider audience. Having an interest and appreciation for arts in general, I got a sense of this phenomenon during my visits to the various indie art galleries, design shops and even events like comiccon. This is a problem that I have... been thinking about for quite some time and I want to leverage the synthesis of my learning experience in order to help enable a reality where more digital art and expression sees the light of the day. Where the work of more artists manages to make an impression, leave an imprint on someone's cognition. Where art continues doing the job that it has been doing and doing so well since time immemorial. Ever since our ancestors left the imprints of their hands in the form of cave paintings. As 'software continues to eat the world', it is getting difficult to commoditize content. But this is not a show-stopper, as technology and big-data can be used in a recombinant fashion in order to help power the vision that has been briefly showcased above. Experiant Labs mandate is to deliver artwork that the audience will connect with. But instead of turning it into a gamble, we want to turn this into a measurable, almost scientific phenomenon. Where we will be able to predict engagement in advance. With a certain level of foresight before the artwork is introduced out in the wider consciousness. How is that for putting precognition to good use? ;) Overall, the goal is still the same, as it has been for thousands of years. To evoke a sense of wonder. To encourage the passerby to stop and think about what is being displayed. Beyond the categories and curations themselves, big data is important to the success and longevity of this company.
