The Executive Development Institute (EDI) is a nonprofit association of university professors and community action professionals specializing in management development. Our mission is to make available to the leaders of the community services network, techniques for efficient, productive and effective management. Since 1987, we have earned a reputa... tion for outstanding performance in the development and presentation of programs targeted for nonprofit development. EDI programs provide a unique opportunity for community action professionals to acquire management expertise to project the vision and values of the community action movement. We utilize highly interactive sessions based upon strategic, analytic and human resource tools focusing on relevant and practical information. Our approach, developed from years of agency research and experience, is designed for board members, executive directors and other staff members. Many EDI programs are also aligned with and provide credit toward the Certified Community Action Professional (CCAP) program.
