Everest Treks

We are a specialist adventure trekking company who have operated in the Everest region of Nepal for over 29 years. Our treks involve walking on established trails, and do not require any mountaineering skills or mountain climbing. They are achievable by the averagely fit person. A feature of our treks is that they are costed on an all-inclusive bas... is, with no surprise extra costs. International and local flights, stopovers, Kathmandu tours, visas, Park fees, accommodation, food and trek costs are all covered. Our treks are at the "luxury" end of the market, although this is a comparative word in Nepal terms. Our trekkers stay in lodge style accommodation, rather than tents, meals are of a consistent high standard, there is no requirement to assist with "duties" on tour, and we have a high ratio of sherpas and porters for each trek group. As Nepal is our only destination we have developed a unique relationship with the local Sherpa people, especially through our involvement in specific community projects. John Gully, Founder of Everest Treks, developed a passion for mountaineering in the Southern Alps of New Zealand, and managed a number of Himalayan summit attempts in the 1980's, including three expeditions to Mt Everest. John changed his focus from managing mountain expeditions to trekking, and over the last 29 years he has led more people to the Everest region than any other non-Sherpa.
