EVDI (European Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging) has been formed to group information common to both EAVDI and ECVDI® under the same roof. ECVDI® (European College of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging®) is the governing body for granting specialist status in veterinary diagnostic imaging in the European Union. Diagnostic imaging is defined as the specialt... y of "diagnosis with the aid of images representing anatomy, physiology and pathology of the body, predominantly by radiology and ultrasonography, but also by nuclear medicine, computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging." The primary objectives of the College are to advance veterinary diagnostic imaging in Europe and increase the competence of those who practise in this field by: establishing guidelines for post-graduate education and experience prerequisite to becoming a specialist in veterinary diagnostic imaging; examining and certifying veterinarians as specialists in veterinary diagnostic imaging to serve the veterinary profession and the public in general; encouraging research and other contributions to knowledge relating to diagnostic imaging , and promoting communication and dissemination of this knowledge. Membership is generally limited to those who have passed the certifying examination and achieved European Veterinary Specialist status. This website acts as a portal to access both affiliated organizations, and to house information of interest to both groups including education, events, and careers. EAVDI (European Association of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging): is a non-profit association encompassing all aspects of diagnostic imaging, with the aim of sharing knowledge and expertise as well as providing social and networking opportunities. We also have a British and Irish Division, EAVDI-BID.
