ETHWaterloo is an event bringing together some of the top minds and experts in Ethereum and ETHGlobals premiere event of 2019. We enable teams to make something great in only 36 hours by providing an abundance of hacking resources like mentors, sponsors, and software. Sleeping is optional, but trying to make awesome things is not. Anyone from anywh... ere in the world can apply. Applications are based on interest in Ethereum and proven ability to BUIDL - whether thats writing software, designing beautiful UXs, product management, or something else entirely. How much does it cost to attend? Admission to ETHWaterloo is completely free to hackers! We take care of all your meals, snacks, and drinks throughout the weekend too! Will ETHWaterloo offer travel scholarships to hackers? ETHWaterloo is free-of-charge thanks to the support of our partners and sponsors but, unfortunately, the event is not able to cover travel or other expenses for attendees. How many people can be on a team? You can form teams of up to 4 people. There are no restrictions for team members, so you can team up with hackers of any country or experience level! What if I've never been to a hackathon or worked with Ethereum before? No worries! Its helpful to have some programming or technical experience, but its not a requirement. Well have talks, mentors and workshops to help you with your project; hackathons can be a great place to learn new skills in a short amount of time. Just come eager to learn, excited to meet lots of awesome people, and most importantly, come ready to BUIDL. Can I start working on my hack before the event? No. In the interest of fairness, attendees should not be working on their projects before ETHWaterloo begins and we do not allow participants to work on pre-existing projects.
