Graduating with a degree in Civil Engineering from the former Portsmouth Polytechnic, Richard was admitted to The Institution of Civil Engineers as a Member and Chartered Engineer in 1979. His early career was established with leading international contractors gaining experience on UK motorways and in Africa Nigeria, Tanzania and Ghana on major infrastructure water supply schemes, road and irrigation projects. Upon returning to the UK in 1987, Richard was invited into project management. A member of the Association for Project Management (APM) since 1999, Richard has enjoyed wide ranging success with principal Client Organisations and Consultants in commercial property and public buildings, defence, high speed rail, London Underground and nuclear (defence & energy). Richard lives on the Hampshire / Berkshire border, has 3 grown up children and enjoys the arts, keeping fit, volunteering for Crisis homeless charity and sailing setting up Essential Sailing to provide access to luxury yachting without the responsibility of ownership.Read More
