From rural spaces to urban rooftops, Epic Seeds strives to strengthen cultural identity and celebrate the act of growing. Epic Seeds roots first took hold in the loom of Gardens Edge , a 501 (c)3 non-profit corporation that works with sustainable agriculture and seed saving in Guatemala and New Mexico. From these roots, the idea to preserve, cultiv... ate and share the stories of peoples - through the epic tales of their seeds survival and dynamic, ever-giving nature - was born. Starting with Qachuu Aloom (Mother Earth) Farmers Association a Guatemala-based, Maya-run organization that was created to rebuild communities in the aftermath of the civil war, and Amyo Farms in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Epic Seeds will grow a global network of agri-economic opportunity for indigenous cultures and farmers everywhere.
