Engel, the firm's founder, president, and sole owner since 1995, has spent more than 40 years in the industry. Her career has encompassed new construction and rehabilitation, tax-advantaged and conventional debt and equity finance, community-based revitalization, and government service. E&P is a Woman-Owned Business Enterprise (WBE), certified with the State and City of New York. E&P was also a FINRA-registered broker-dealer from its founding in 1993 to 2010; when that registration became burdensome, E&P relinquished it voluntarily, with no significant impact on the firm's activities.
