EnCon United

EnCon Utah, a subsidiary of EnCon United, LLC based in Denver, Colorado, was launched in 1993 when EnCon acquired a rented facility in Bluffdale, Utah. This original location was one of five production plants attained by EnCon from Concrete Products Company, based in Redmond, Washington. Originally established by Concrete Products Company in 1997,... the facility was used to produce soundwalls, mechanically stabilized earth walls, and high separation barriers which were critical to the I-15 expansion project. The completion of this project was essential in order for Salt Lake City, Utah to host the 2002 Winter Olympics. Also in 2002, EnCon was awarded a contract to produce girders for the Legacy Highway near Salt Lake City. Shortly after, a decision was made to relocate the plant to Tooele, Utah, where a period of infrastructure and rebuilding took place. This provided the plant with casting beds that developed the capacity to produce various double-tee shapes, bridge girder shapes, and custom solid and insulated wall configurations. Consequently, EnCon was able to produce its first girder in Tooele in only 90 days after this contract was awarded.
