The MISSION of Encinitas CERT, Inc. is to: 1. Provide disaster preparedness training to people who live or work in Encinitas, 2. Recruit and retain Encinitas CERT volunteers, and 3. Support the Encinitas Fire Department when activated. We Accomplish our MISSION by: (a) educating Encinitas residents about disaster preparedness for hazards that may i... mpact the community; (b) recruiting Encinitas residents to become CERT volunteers by enrolling in the disaster preparedness academy provided by the Encinitas Fire Department in order to develop basic disaster response skills such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations; (c) assisting Encinitas CERT volunteers to receive continuing training opportunities in order to refresh and practice disaster response skills; (d) providing periodic opportunities for Encinitas CERT volunteers to become better acquainted with each other; (e) participating in deployments when activated by the Encinitas Fire Department. The Encinitas CERT Slogan is: Membership in Encinitas CERT, Inc. is open to individuals who: (a) are over the age of 18, and (b) reside or work in Encinitas, Solana Beach, Del Mar, or Rancho Santa Fe, and (c) are able and willing to accept and further the mission of Encinitas CERT, Inc.
