I knew at a very early age that my purpose in life was simply to help others. For me that journey started at the age of twelve when I began volunteering at a local hospital in Houston, TX. The joy I experienced caring for people during that time motivated me to pursue my nursing degree and ultimately my Master of Science in nursing. For the past se... venteen years, I have had a very rewarding career as a nurse and healthcare executive. This experience has allowed me to expand my passion to serve others through coaching and consulting. In my experience coaching, I observed first-hand the impact emotional health can have on a persons life. This can include their relationships, career, and physical health. It is not a surprise that people experience both positive and negative emotions. Thats actually what makes us human. Where the challenges occur is when we try to avoid or suppress those negative emotions and pretend everything is okay. Guess what, you may not be okay! And its okay to say it. Acknowledging that you are not coping well is the first step to addressing your barriers. Suppressing your emotions does not make them go away. Studies have shown that attempting to avoid negative emotions are more likely to result in other symptoms such as anxiety and depression. Emotions Embraced, LLC helps clients who are struggling with understanding and coping with their emotions. I help them overcome self-doubt, build confidence, and redefine the perception they have of themselves. The name of Emotions Embraced was not chosen by accident.
