The history of EMOST Services Sdn Bhd started in 1999 as a research group, namely the Construction IT Research Group (CIRG), in the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). After initial success was achieved through its core of researchers, in July 2003, EMOST Consult was incorporated as a step forward to apply its research findings into commercial prospects. Based on research experiences, much-specialized Information & Communication Technology (ICT) consultancy and solutions and professional services have been deployed to the client. On the current research and development (R & R&D) landscape, the application of Information Technology (IT) in construction is becoming more significant, especially in the new era of globalization. The construction industry cannot afford to hide away from this ever-common scenario to stay competitive in the global market. In June 2007, EMOST Services Sdn Bhd was then incorporated to provide specialized Consultancy, Management Services and System Development in all fields related to Information & Communication Technology; particularly those concerning the construction industry and project management and a vendor for supplying third-party software and hardware. With more than 15 years of hands-on experience in providing IT solutions in the construction industry and other related industries, especially in Information Modeling, Knowledge Management and Integrated Systems.
