She is trauma-informed in her approach and is Registered as a Provisional Member with the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA). She has over 7 years experience as a Child & Family Therapist and over 10 years experience in the Community Services field. Shakira is relatable, ethical and focussed solely on her clients wellbeing and empowering them to create effective and meaningful change. Emerge Therapy accepts referrals from other Allied Health Professionals, self-referrals & Employee Assistance Programs such as Employee Assistance Services Australia, DAccord PHS, Access EAP, Eudoxia. Shakira has a Provider Number with Medibank Private and you may be eligible for a rebate if you have a policy with this Private Health Insurance Provider. Shakira can provide services under NDIS Self-Managed participants for Counselling Support. What Services do Emerge Therapy offer? Emerging research is showing the effectiveness of Tapping / EFT in the treatment of Anxiety, Depression, Phobias, Weightloss / cravings & PTSD. This is available in our office. Future-focussed goal setting appointments that assist you to move toward change and feel accountable for your own mental wellbeing.
