Elizabeth Fire Protection District is a combination fire and emergency medical services department headquartered in Elizabeth, Colorado. Established in 1947 and transitioned to a tax-based individual district in 1977, the organization provides fire suppression, emergency medical services, hazardous materials mitigation, fire prevention, and public... education. The district serves a population of 12,100 people across a diverse terrain on the north side of the Palmer Divide. Services are delivered through a workforce of full-time and part-time employees, reserve volunteers, and support service volunteers operating out of multiple fire stations.
