Elite Dance Academy

At Elite Dance Academy we provide dance classes in many genres of dance including Cecchetti Classical Ballet, Glenn Wood Tap, Jazz, Modern Lyrical, Tap, Hip Hop, Breakdance, Musical Theatre, Broadway, ATOD Contemporary dance and Acrobatics. Our qualified & experienced dance teachers are trained to provide professional lessons in a fun and supportiv... e environment according to the relevant syllabus. The teachers constantly attend workshops and classes to bring new styles and techniques to the Elite Dance Academy. The students learn to dance whilst improving their confidence, flexibility, co-ordination, posture and fitness. The students make new friends whilst dancing and performing. In the past our students have peformed at Dreamworld, Gold Coast Show and other local events. In 2012 a group of our dancers travelled to Los Angeles where they performed at Disneyland, Hollywood Boulevarde, Universal Studios and in the Disney Main Street Parade. Our dancers also had the opportunity to attend workshops at Disneyland and the world renowned dance studio, 'The Edge'. Our dancers recently spent Christmas 2015 in New York after performing at Disneyland. Our students are lucky enough to have guest teachers throughout the year, in the past these have included Gaz from 'Instant Bunz' and Matt Pappa from 'Tap Dogs'. The students enjoy performing and competing at local eisteddfods, we also have had two students in the final round of 'Showcase' at Jupiter's Casino. Our Ballet students study under Helen Day. Miss Helen is a Cecchetti qualified teacher and a former ballerina. Last year one of our students trained by Miss Helen received the honour of being selected to join the Joffrey Ballet School in New York.
