And we dreamed of time-flexibility and being our own bosses so that we could design our days. We feared working jobs for 40 years, retiring, and then realizing we had no idea how to do life together. Then reality hits and shakes those sweet marriage altar dreams to the core, causing you to quietly tuck them away deep your heart. Living paycheck to paycheck, working 70-80 hours a week, and barely seeing each other was our normal. When our son Hosea Nathan was found lifeless in his crib, a bed that was months later recalled, our normal turned into a nightmare. We struggled to keep our heads above water and parent our other two girls, navigate job losses and moves, deal with debilitating sickness brought on by stress and trauma, and start over and move forward. But God. Like only He can do, He used that Marker Moment in 2006 to set our feet on a new path...a path that has taken many others on the journey with us.
