Electri-Comm, Inc. was formed on 12/31/1998 to serve a growing group of electrical contractors that desired to expand their capabilities into the communications cabling infrastructure that was previously the domain of the communications contractor. Over the past eleven years Electri-Comm, Inc. has developed core competencies in Secondary Power Sources; Power Quality and Distribution; Industrial Control and Communications. In 2001, Electri-Comm, Inc. became a Generac Guardian Dealer to meet the demand in our area for standby generators. When Generac initiated a distributor program, Electri-Comm, Inc. became one of the first distributors to sign up. In 2009, Electri-Comm, Inc. expanded its capabilities in this area by forming the EC PowerPros division as a Service Dealer to focus on Generac service and warranty repair as well as UPS battery service and repair. One of the first Manufacturers to support Electri-Comm was Eaton Electrical Products. We believe that they manufacture the best in the Control and Distribution products and as such, we represent them exclusively ever since 1999. Communication is a major part of our business. We have evolved as a communications distributor, VAR and consulting firm as this dynamic industry has evolved. Electi-Comm, Inc. installed its first wireless WLAN in central Illinois in 2002. Since then, we have expanded our capabilities to include all the components need for turnkey network systems. In 2007, we made the strategic decision to partner with Panasonic Security Systems to offer a complete line of professional surveillance products.
