El Dorado County

I'm often asked, "How long have you lived in El Dorado County?" and the simple answer is since June of 1997. The not so simple answer evokes fond memories of four summers (1972-1976) when, as a youngster, I helped my father build spec homes in the Sly Park Area of Pollock Pines. My father's upbringing on a farm instilled a remarkable work ethic in... him and as a high school English teacher, he chose to spend his summers challenging us both and creating not only homes, but a sense of self worth while instilling in me a stong work ethic and an affinity with nature and the endless beatuty of El Dorado County. In 1988 I purchased 40 acres and a cabin in the Georgetown area which I renovated and throughly enjoyed through 2001. The final move to El Dorado County was more of a return for me. I grew up in Los Altos on the Peninsula back when there were still orchards and life was generally slower. Now, raising two kids of my own, I feel this area is the perfect place to raise my children with both the quality enviroment and opportunities Los Altos had once afforded our middle class family. I believe in El Dorado County. That, along with my strong wrok ethic and a genuine desire to help people, makes selling real estate enjoyable as well as challenging. Additionally, I believe I am one of the best prepared in my field. I've run my own general contracting business for eight years and I have a Bachelors Degree in Economics, as well as, minors in both Business Finance and Philosophy. I empoly daily all of these personal resources to best serve my clients. Whether it's a question about the physical condition of a property, or a legal or financial issue, or in some cases just being a good sounding board to help people sort through the personal challenges that often surround a real estate transaction - I believe I'm well qualified!
