Eispro is the second largest Hungarian ice-cream producer, with an integrated and geographically ideally positioned cold storage logistics business. The Company was established in 1975 as Budatej. It started producing ice cream from 1979. Both Schöller and Nestle owned the company in the past. Hungarian private investors own the business since 2009... . Apart from being the second largest player in Hungary, with c. a 25% ice cream market share, building on its strong Schöller and Nestle roots the Company has gradually penetrated some of the main Western European markets with its unique, innovative products. Consequently, over half of its total revenues are now realised from exports. The Company produces all types (and flavours) of ice cream, such as moulded and extruded products, rolls, cones and tubs and sells them to Hungary, the UK, Austria, Germany, Slovenia, the Czech Republic, Ireland and Poland, only to mention the most important destinations. Its production facility is situated on a c. 33,000 sqm plot of land, located right next to Budapest. The nameplate ice cream production capacity is estimated at c. 20m litres. Eispro has an over 9,000 pallets cold storage capacity (mainly deep-freeze), in the best possible location in Hungary (at Törökbálint).
