Venice High School seniors have outdo... ne themselves this season - 117 have earned a Jacket of Excellence! The Awards will be held online Thursday, December 2, 2021 at 6:00 pm. These spectacular students are still achieving under the most challenging circumstances. Donations for 2021 are closed, thank you! Thank you to all who generously donated to local children in need. For #GivingTuesday2020 & beyond we collected funds to buy holiday gift cards for more than 300 Unhoused and Foster children in our local community . Due to the sobering number of unhoused children this year, donations were accepted through the New Year. Spectacular students are still achieving under the most challenging circumstances. Any amount is appreciated - Donate via FUNDLY Through the Education Committee of the Venice Chamber of Commerce, exemplary students from Venice High School are being honored for their achievements both in and outside of the classroom. The Jacket of Excellence Awards is a 37 year tradition in the Venice community, and now more than ever, positive traditions are important for all of our communities, families and collective future. The most critical voices missing from the global conversation are those of students. With the Jacket of Excellence we are preparing to elevate them to their rightful position as most influential. For the 2020 - 2021 academic year, an impressive 86 Venice High School students have met the requirements to earn a Jacket of Excellence - this is the highest number ever.
