Brief History:Edge Racing was established in 1996 as a wholesale supplier of alloy wheels, tires and some automotive accessories focusing mainly on the local market. By mid 1997 we started distributing some existing wheel lines to the South Florida market and concentrated on wholesale customers. In our effort to continue expanding, negotiations started with European producers of high quality alloy wheels for the introduction of our first exclusive line in 1999. Our goal was simple: create a distribution network for this wheel line in the US. We started advertising nationally on most consumer and trade print publications; we also exhibited on several of the most recognized trade shows (like SEMA) and consumer direct (like HIN). We were creating a significant pull for our product but our distribution skeleton was unable to support nor supply our products on the high standards that it deserved; this prompted us to sell direct to several consumers in these areas. The results were faster times, higher satisfaction from end consumers and reduction in added costs. We expanded our tire selection (to be packaged primarily with wheels) and decided to concentrate mainly in the end-consumer and a few key wholesale customers.
