EcoSynth

The team of EcoSynth exists of experienced chemists with a broad array of skills, knowledge and experience. The daily operations of specific domains in our service and R&D activities are headed by: Dr. Bart Ruttens Bart Ruttens obtained his PhD. in Organic Chemistry from Ghent University in 2001. He held postdoctoral positions at Ghent University,... the NIH in Bethesda (MD, USA), and the Rega Institute in Leuven, after which he joined the Technology Development unit of Pronota NV (Zwijnaarde, Belgium), where he helped optimize the COFRADIC platform for biomarker discovery. In 2008 he became a senior postdoctoral researcher in Prof. Gevaert's group to work in the field of chemical biology and proteomics, with a focus on the synthesis of (modified) peptides and small molecules and reagents for peptide/protein modification.
