At this stage of its development, EcoEmergence is focused primarily on the export market with the R&D in Maryland. The reason is quite simple - 95% of the World's consumers are located abroad. Currently we manufacture product in Ireland. That country was selected as a "proof of concept" because it is building from a record of strong inward investme... nt and the presence of major multinational corporations in every sector. That, combined with a growing number of Irish entrepreneurs determined to build world-class companies, presents EcoEmergence with many business opportunities. The Irish "Smart Economy" strategy provides an ideal opportunity for such involvement. Published by the Irish Government in 2008, this strategy has, at its core, an exemplary research, innovation and commercialization ecosystem. The objective is to make Ireland an innovation and commercialization hub in Europe - a country that combines the features of an attractive home for innovative R&D-intensive multinationals while also being a highly-attractive incubation environment for the best entrepreneurs in Europe and beyond. We intend to repeat the Irish model in many countries. One of our first areas of focus is Central and South America. We attended the US Department of Commerce trade mission to Mexico City in early April, 2011 to identify potential distributors throughout the region. As a result, we have identified the first potential distributer of EcoEmergence in Mexico. Additional potential distributers were identified in Columbia and Brazil.
