Eberts and Harrison, Inc. has been serving the Labor Union community for over 55 years and has been 100% Union since that time. Our company was founded by Bernard "Dutch" Eberts. He was a very close friend of the George Meany family and a loyal friend of labor and had been writing insurance for Labor Unions since the early 1940's. Any of you who ar... e old enough to remember George Meany would know that he would not deal with or tolerate any non-union contractors or vendors. Mr. Meany understood as do all Union members that it is rarely the lowest bidder who will provide you with an excellent product, excellent workmanship and outstanding service. Mr. John W. "Bill" Harrison, Jr. joined with Dutch Eberts in 1965 forming what is now known as Eberts and Harrison, Inc. Their partnership not only served to expand the number of insurance products available specifically for Labor Unions but they were also the co-creators of the Labor Organization Bond (LMRDA), the Faithful Discharge of Duty Rider and the Commercial Crime Policy for ERISA requirements. In addition, Bill was instrumental in the design and creation of such coverage as the Union Liability Policy and the Fiduciary Responsibility Policy for Labor Unions. Much to our sorrow we have lost both Dutch and Bill but their ideals, union loyalty and integrity continue on at Eberts and Harrison, Inc.
