This method does not produce instantaneous results. In 2007, we reached the end of our conversion to digital technology. This has drastically reduced the turn around time for results. Digital images can be sent to our secure website from the facility immediately after completion of the x-ray. Our radiologists can interpret the x-rays from our website, so the films no longer need to travel to the doctor's location. This allows Eastern portable X-ray access to a larger number of radiologists. Therefore, there is always a radiologist available. Facilities and doctors can now log onto our secure web site as well.
