Founded in 1981 and headquartered in Bohemia, New York, Eastern Coffee Products has been serving the region's favorite coffee for over 30 years. In addition to coffee we have provided marketing assistance and related services to food retailers throughout that time. From the very beginning, we realized the market needed something defining if we were... to become a leader in this very competitive market. We chose to put our emphasis on quality and consistency rather than cost, as was being done by so many of our competitors. We committed to offer only the highest quality coffees with consistently good taste. We also decided that to be able to provide the best possible service to our customers we would initially limit our market to the eastern most portions of New York....Thus the name, "Eastern Coffee." We also realized that in order to provide the finest cup of coffee around it would be necessary to offer the best brewing equipment and employ qualified service personnel to back it all up. It was not an accident that we decided to locate our facility directly in the center of our market. In the early 80's, despite the recession at the time, demand for our high quality coffee grew rapidly. Our coffee was soon served in hundreds of independent delicatessens, restaurants, coffee shops, and more, throughout Long Island, Queens and Brooklyn. By the middle of the decade our consumer preference was duly noted in a request to supply coffee to a few 7-Eleven stores as a test. Within a few years we were the preferred coffee supplier to the majority of 7-Eleven's on Long Island. This "test" ended up continuing for more than 10 years as the coffee business in these Long Island 7-Eleven stores grew tremendously, outselling any other of the chain's stores in the entire United States.
