Eagle Mobile is the youngest mobile operator in Albania. It was established on 23rd October 2003 by the Albanian government as a company owned by Alb Telecom. Eagle Mobile broke a record by entering the Albanian telecommunication market on 12 march 2008. The limits of speed were broken with the company reaching full coverage of the territory in 6 m... onths. Eagle Mobile as on 31st December 2008 covered 97% of the population and 90.7 % of the territory by sending its services all around the country. One year after entering the market, in its first anniversary, Eagle Mobile has reached 380 thousand subscribers. 'Proring' and 'Riniring' tariffs resulted in a big success for the company. For the first time prepaid and post-paid numbers were integrated in the same tariff group. Something like this was never seen before in Albania. Very soon Eagle Mobile brought for the first time the Edge Technology, internet to the mobile phone. Via USB Modem everyone can have access to internet in its desktop or laptop wherever there is an Eagle Mobile signal. In a record time Eagle Mobile achieved full roaming service.
