A drive-up was added in 1973 and an addition to the north of the bank was completed in 1990. On May 1, 2015, Dutton State Bank merged with Farmers State Bank of Denton, Montana. On December 8, 2017, Dutton State Bank merged with The State Bank of Townsend.
