Durham Archers

Durham Archers is a family orientated archery club which has been in existence for approximately 20 years. Our clubs members range from age 4 to 78 years and our main mission is to provide a safe facility which would allow us to not only maintain, but to advance the tradition of archery for all ages. Durham Archers membership continues to grow each... and every year with the increased interest and enjoyment in the sport of archery. The club is situtated on a pituresque parcel of land just minutes north of Oshawa, Ontario and east of the GTA which is surrounded by local rolling farm land, rural properties and an adbundance of wild life. The club boasts a groomed 40 target 3D archery course, accompaning practice range and a covered pinic area overlooking it's privately stocked catch and release bass pond. A winding brook filled with small trout meanders downs though middle of the clubs property. The land which is still owned today by the Corner family houses a small building which served at one time as the local school house, still stands today and has been transformed into one of the club houses for it's members. Durham Archers continually stives to promote safe archery with an outdoor flavour. The club is ran exclusively by it's membership who have devoted countless hours of voluntee work throughout the years ensuring the club is properly maintained and continually improved allowing for year long enjoyment for it's members. Durham Archers is reconized throughout the Ontario archery community as having one of the top 3D archery courses in the province which is strengthened with it's continual drawing of record numbers of both traditional and compound archers from all over Ontario for it's annual tournaments. Durham Archers is embarking on it's 3rd year of hosting an annual Charity 3D archery tournament where all profits from the tournament are given to a locally selected child or family with children who suffer from a disability.
