He started the business out of his home with just his personal pickup truck and tools. He began with small, short term projects like driveway sealing and patching at local residences and began to build up a reputation from word-of-mouth referrals. As Duran Construction's reputation grew with residential customers, Gil started to bid on bigger city... and county jobs, plus he approached local utilities, school boards and other local organizations for work. Duran Construction's projects gradually grew in scale and Gil acquired more and more repeat customers. Duran Construction has now been in business for almost 20 years. Duran Construction specializes in paving, concrete work, grading, chip sealing, roadway construction, and related services for California municipalities, county governments, utilities, educational institutions, businesses, churches, warehouse facilities and residences. We primarily service Northern California in and around Ukiah, Napa and the suburbs of San Francisco. We have performed work for CALTRANS plus a variety of local governments. Our paving and asphalt work is quite extensive and entails more than just roadways.
