DSD Managment Inc was established in 1997 when David Dick began managing The Burlington Foot Clinic and The Hamilton Foot Clinic. At the same time, he was actively practising as a Registered Massage Therapist. Within a year, he began to manage the Foot & Ankle Institutes of Ontario consisting of a consulting team of Orthopaedic Surgeons and Podiatr... ists. Many patients seen by the Orthopaedic Surgeons at the Institute were told that they would benefit from physiotherapy for pre and post surgical treatment. David realized that the prescribed therapy was a integral part of making sure that patients would get back to optimal performance. He believed that best method of being able to closely supervise the therapy prescribed and ensure compliance was to open his own physiotherapy clinic next door. DSD opened its first clinic, Absolute Physio, in Burlington in 1999. Always with a strong focus on orthopaedic injuries, DSD was able to grow the number of clinics it managed by bringing key people on and building a strong operational group and Human Resources team. DSD added several clinics over the following 10 years ranging from downtown Toronto to Cambridge to Brantford. DSD continues to build on its foundation of the team concept and patient satisfaction.
