DSA Vacations (formerly Destination Southern Africa) was established in 2001 by Terry von Guilleaume - a South African now living in the United States. DSA specializes in tailor-made vacations to both Southern and Eastern Africa and is headquartered in Tucson, Arizona. In 2009, DSA was appointed by FIFA as one of only three tour operators in the US... to develop and sell travel packages for soccer fans visiting South Africa for the FIFA 2010 World Cup. Subsequently, they were awarded the prestigious Ubuntu Award by South African Tourism for being the Top producing 2010 World Cup Tour Operator. In 2011, DSA was appointed by South African Airways to operate its vacation program, South African Airways Vacations, which is highly regarded for its wide array of affordable luxury packages to Africa, and utilizes SAA's extensive route network to create packages for travel throughout South Africa, Botswana, Victoria Falls, Namibia, Mozambique, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Tanzania and the Indian Ocean Islands. In 2012 DSA was once again recognized by South Africa Tourism with the Ubuntu Award for offering the "Best Value for Money Packages" to South Africa. In 2013, DSA Vacations partnered with Emirates Airlines to launch Emirates Vacations, offering air-inclusive vacations to destinations around the world. Given Emirates Airlines' extensive global network, this allowed DSA Vacations to specialize in sought after destinations around the world.
