I started in Anoka in 2001 with brass lessons and grew to include drum set lessons in 2003. Then, in 2009, I opened up the drum sales portion in Coon Rapids as a way to compliment those who were taking lessons so they could find what they needed quickly. With the variety of experience with both brass and drums, I provide each student and customer w... ith a personal touch by assessing their needs and making recommendations on what will help them best. I bring a technical perspective to an artistic genre with my classical training and professional gigs. Music and teaching are pretty thick in the Noraker gene pool with several musicians and teachers in the family. I have been playing instruments for over 30 years and teaching private lessons since 2001. I love the one-on-one teaching environment and have focused my efforts on collecting as many ways as possible for teaching various concepts. My performance experience spans concert band, orchestra, jazz ensemble, percussion ensemble, marching band, drum line, worship band, and musical theater over the course of my school and professional career. My most prominent experience was with the Original London Cast of the Tony and Emmy award-winning show "Blast!" and I can be seen and heard on the cast DVD and CD.
