About Driftwood Designs
Driftwood Designs was founded in 2005 by artist Lizzie Spikes as a means of balancing work with her desire to spend her days with her first born Jacob. Living on the beautiful west Wales coast near her home town of Aberystwyth, Lizzie could spend her days on the beach collecting driftwood and tiring her boys and her evenings creating and painting original pieces of artwork. The business had grown steadily alongside Jacob and his younger brother Ollie and in 2012 childhood friend and organised business brain Becky came aboard along with her passion for spreadsheets and her girls Daisy and Jasmine. The children are now growing up too fast and Lizzie and Becky spend the precious hours between 9 and 3.30 painting, packing, posting and promoting the successful company they have developed at their kitchen tables.
