Dragonfly

Dragonfly was started by Wink Ogilvie. After nearly 20 years in the travel business which included being a Director of a Travel Company, writing two books and travelling across Africa in a Fire Engine to raise money and awareness for the Samaritans, Wink decided to concentrate on her other passion - shoes. At the beginning of 2004, on a trip to Vie... tnam, she was introduced to a small shoe manufacturer. By the end of April Dragonfly was up and running. After completing two footwear design courses at the London College of Fashion, Wink expanded the collection, and today has 50 different shoes, which are sold across the UK. Sumptuous evening wraps and then scarves were added to the collection and finally silk dressing gowns embroidered with dragonflies. Small, ethical, manufacturers in Vietnam make all the products. The Tartan for the shoes, is woven in Scotland, by the Strathmore Woollen Company; a family run business in the heart of Angus, where Wink grew up.Read More
