Dr Pam Connor

Dr Connor is a Registered Psychologist (Registration Number PSY0001407041) in the ACT, holds Full Membership with the Australian Psychology Society (APS), with Full Membership with both the Clinical and Health Colleges of the APS. Dr Connor has many years of experience as a mental health professional, in both the public and private sector. In 2010,... she was appointed to the position of Associate Professor (Psychology) at the University of Canberra and is Director of the Psychology clinic there. In this role, Dr Connor is responsible for training and supervising the clinical work of students in the Masters in Clinical Psychology and Ph.D programs at the University. Prior to her appointment as Associate Professor, Dr Connor was employed (2006-beginning of 2010) in the position of Director of the Social Work and Psychology Department at Calvary Healthcare ACT, an acute healthcare setting in Canberra. Dr Connor holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons), Bachelor of Science (Psychology), Masters in Education (Curriculum and Learning), Masters in Education (Counselling), and a Doctor of Health Science (Psychology). The research for this award focused on "The Treatment of Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder", and the study involved developing, implementing and evaluating a treatment program for adults who had suffered long-term and multiple trauma experiences during their childhood or adult years. The research for the award was highly acclaimed by international experts in the field of trauma.
