Downstream Australia Pty. Ltd was founded to investigate, plan and deliver projects that could harness the Pilbaras world class natural resource extraction processes and utilise them to create new downstream processing projects, to grow the local, state and national economy. The Pilbaras resource industry has been predominately 'extract and export'... and Downstream Australia believes the next phase of economic development has to focus on creating more value from our resources - before they are exported, especially in the context of automation and artificial intelligence changing industry as we know it. The founders of Downstream Australia, Brendon Grylls and Mark Bradley, came together with a view to use their strategic innovation and deep industry knowledge to disrupt the Pilbara value chain. Grylls has always had a passion for the North West, and has conceived and delivered transformational projects in his career by challenging the 'business as usual' approach. Brendon brings a unique understanding of strategy implementation and public policy advocacy to Downstream Australia and always thinks outside the square to achieve his goals. He is proud to call Karratha home. Bradley, a born and bred Pilbara local is now raising his own family in the Pilbara. He has been engaged in the resource industry for 20 years, including processing, construction, commissioning, production and logistical experience and specialties across offshore subsea, metalliferous, hydrometallurgical and petrochemical processes and environments.
