Double C Bar Ranch

Double C Bar Ranch is a family owned and operated Brahman cattle ranch located in the heart of Central Florida just south of St. Cloud on County Road 523, or Canoe Creek Rd. Jimmy and Leslie are third generation owners and raised four children on the ranch- RyAnne, Denton, Gibbs, and Clifton. All three boys are now raising their own families on the... ranch and managing the day-to-day operations alongside their dad. The Ranch roots trace back to Jimmy's grandfather, Pat Johnston Sr., who began importing Brahman Cattle into Florida in the 1930s. Jimmy's parents, Clifford (Chappy) and Aileen (Bill) Chapman then operated the ranch along with his uncle, Pat Johnston Jr., with a herd of purebred Brahman well into the 1950s. As Jimmy began to take over the ranch operations, he redeveloped some of the original Brahman bloodlines and increased cattle numbers with the purchase of a small Brahman herd in 1967. The ranch has since continued to focus on developing the purebred Brahman herd and has become one of the premiere Brahman herds in Florida, as well as in the United States. Double C Bar cattle have been sold for use in commercial and purebred operations in different states across the country and to countries all over the world including several South and Central American countries, the Philippines, and Thailand. Along with the purebred herd, Double C Bar Ranch also raises crossbred cows for commercial beef production as well as locally raised grass and grain- fed beef. The demand for local beef has consistently increased over the past couple of years, and you can now find our beef in several restaurants across Central Florida.
