MBA is a 26-year-old Philadelphia based manufacturers' rep agency. Known as the agency that reps "gourmet" or boutique lighting lines, MBA brings a curated line card of lighting and architectural materials to the DLA offering. MBA was founded in 1991 by Larry Berman who will continue as President of MBA, Partner, Steve Hirshenhorn, who will assume the title of Vice President of Sales, and long-time Director of Inside Sales, Lisa Cassel. Together they will continue in their roles, but with additional resources and support in the increasingly important area of Controls and Application Design which DLA can provide them. Effective July 1, 2017, MBA's acquisition by DLA was complete. MBA will continue to operate as an independent, yet partner agency, of DLA. The combined agency brings together DLA's best in class commercial grade lighting fixture brands and MBA's architectural and decorative specification lighting brands and curated architectural material lines under one umbrella agency. Being able to access DLA's and MBA's lines from one umbrella source will give specifiers a deep and wide selection of high-quality, cutting edge lighting fixtures and architectural materials. The combined experience, staffs' expertise, and network of the two agencies will provide specifiers with resources and support from the design thru installation stages making the process of realizing their vision more efficient and pleasurable.
