District Rolfing

District Rolfing is now offering online movement therapy sessions, using techniques from the Egoscue Method and Rolf Movement. These sessions use the same approach and principles of Rolfing - however, instead of the therapist hands-on work, they use your own movement and awareness to make the change. The results are excellent, even for people with... pain issues, and best of all, give you the tools to help yourself move out of pain on your own. During the session, we first do a postural and movement assessment, just as we do in in-person sessions. After identifying where the root issue is, we develop a set of exercises which, done as a set, will address the underlying causes of the problems. Just like in a regular session, we aim to get the whole body to work better together- not working on isolated muscles. During the session, we go over all the exercises, which you then do on your own at home daily, with online support as needed. This repetition helps the body learn new, balanced patterns. If you're interested in a session but not sure, try the postural assessment and consult alone - about 15 minutes - free of charge. In-person sessions are on hold until at least the end of the year due to COVID.
